About Us

Sarah Heinz House Robotics was first founded in 2003, and has been competing ever since. We started out with just FLL competition, and gradually moved on to VEX competition.

Some words of wisdom we would like to pass on to other teams would be that, "Success is never final, failure is never fatal, its courage that counts." - John Wooden.

Our team consists of 7th-10th graders, and is located at Sarah Heinz House in Pittsburgh, PA.

What is the VEX Robotics Competition?

The VEX Robotics Competition is the largest and fastest growing middle and high school robotics program globally with more than 3,500 teams from 20 countries playing in over 250 tournaments worldwide. Events are held often and more are being added every week. Visit RobotEvents.com to register a team and find an event near you.

This year's game is VEX Gateway. Students, with guidance from their teachers and mentors, aim to build the most innovative robots possible and work together to obtain the most points possible. In addition to just having a great time and building amazing robots, through their participation in the VEX Robotics Competition and their work within their team, students will learn many academic and life skills. Find VEX Gateway Rules and Information here.
