Sarah Heinz House

Sports/Recreational
In addition to weekly “gym/swim”, members can choose to register and pay for additional physical activities, including:

In-House Co-Ed Sports Leagues

There are three in-house sports leagues offered during the program year. Soccer is played October through December, Basketball is played January through February and the spring sport (TBD) is played March through April. Teams are divided according to age. Each player will receive a team jersey, have at least one week of practice and 4-6 games. Parents interesting in helping as a coach, official or scorekeeper should contact Kyle (School Division/Friday) or Paul (College & Pro Divisions/Saturday). Open to all members & weekly adult volunteers.

Fitness Center

Open for adults who are fitness center members during the day (typically from 6am-2pm), our state of the art fitness facility is available to Intermediate members and higher every day. Work out on the cardio machines, lift weights, or build muscle. Contact Bob Bechtold for more information.

Dance

The Sarah Heinz House Dance Program is one of the best in the area. Classes start for children at age 4 and progress through age 18. There are 5 different levels of dance and 8 types of dance offered (ballet, jazz, tap, pointe, lyrical, hip hop, acrodance, and pre-dance). Our dance instructors are local artists and perform regionally. Contact Bob Bechtold for more information.

Aquatics

Our pool is open 6 days a week and offers programming almost all day. Serving people from 6 months of age up to 90 years old, our swimming pool is truly a community resource. From swimming lessons, to water aerobics, to lifeguarding classes and a swim team, our Aquatics Program has something for everyone. Contact Kyle Kenia for more information.

Gymnastics Developmental Program

The Sarah Heinz House Gymnastics Program is a progressive, developmental program that offers classes from tots to a competitive team. Children in the program (ages 2-18) learn floor, bars, beam, and vault apparatuses all while working out and having a great time. Fundamentals are stressed and children are developed according to their skill level. For more information, contact Valerie Singleton.
